Bulls:
Phenotype is important to us, we want our bulls to be stout made, wide based, loaded with muscle, body length, large testicles, big hipped and sound footed.

Females:
We have a deep focus on the maternal side of all our cattle, but especially when selecting the mating for females. We want our females to have good udders, deep rib with adequate frame, sound, and feminine with the ability to be long term animals with years of superior performance, birthing, raising and weaning large quality calves year after year.

At 2S Angus, breeding and herd management decisions are based on the core principles of producing Elite Seed-Stock genetically designed to be leading cattle operation in SW Missouri. An elite breeding program takes years of discipline and at 2S Angus we strive to move forward on a daily basis. Sparing no expense of time, money or energy when we set up our breeding and select our groups.

We know that our cattle must meet and exceed the expectation of our local cattlemen to be able to perform in our climate, on our grasses, and in our conditions. We raise our cattle on mixes of fescue, winter wheat, bermuda, and other warm season grasses. We implement rotational grazing with single wire hot fence. Simply put, we raise our cattle the same way most of our customers run their cattle. We handle our cattle daily and cull anything that doesn’t fit the program, whether its physical issues or temper-mental, our culling system is stringent.

These core principles were founded over 20 years ago, and are still the core values today as we continue to forge 2S Angus as a leader in the Angus breed.

Lastly but not least, we know that to strive forward we must encompass EPD’s, and DNA data. However this will not be held above the core roots of tested, proven genetics and performance of true maternally sound cattle. We will not sacrifice quality or longevity for numbers…
